ZORA ROSE JENSEN FRANKS KIRKPATRICK

1936 - 2018

Zora Rose Jensen Franks Kirkpatrick, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on June 18, 2018 at the age of 82 at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland. Her daughters Pamela Franks Jones and Alicia Franks Vice and her granddaughter Chloe Rose Jones were by her side.

Zora had an insatiable curiosity about the world around her, and her bibles, dictionary, encyclopedias, and other reference books overflowed with copious notes about her observations, activities, and conversations. Zora delighted in learning the names and personal stories of everyone she met, and her warm smile and bright spirit will be missed by many.

In December 2017, Zora moved from her home of 40 years to Raleigh Hills Assisted Living, where she made many new friends in her short time there. The family extends special thanks to the staff for their loving care and concern for Zora, her daughters, and her husband Thomas (Tom) Kirkpatrick.

Zora was born to Jeppie and Lucille (nee Jackson) Jensen on March 4, 1936 in Eugene and was the third of five children. Her parents and her sisters Anna Miglioretto and Phyllis Payne of Springfield preceded her in death. Zora leaves behind her husband Tom, siblings Sherry Morris of Creswell and Jim Jensen of Santa Rosa, CA, and first husband Warren Franks of Spokane, WA as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
