Patricia Plaat

Patricia Plaat, 82, died August 14, 2009 in Portland surrounded by her family.

Born on April 14, 1927 in Portland, OR, Pat was one of four daughters born to Edward R. and Hazel (Morgan) VanVickle. She attended Jefferson High School graduating in 1945 and Oregon State University where she met her husband, Hans John Plaat. They married in 1950 and had three children. In 1967 the family moved to Cupertino, CA. Since 1989 they have made their home between Davis, CA and Portland, OR.

Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, three children and their spouses: Mitch Plaat and Kimberly McAlear both of Portland, OR; Chris and Shelley Plaat of Sacramento, CA; Barbara Radabaugh of Los Gatos, CA; a sister, Carol Kirk of Oregon City, OR; and 11 grandchildren."
