Nancy Jean Cressy, 80, passed away on July 29, 2016, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Born in Portland, Oregon on March 2, 1936 to Genevieve and Benjamin Llanes. Graduated from Lincoln High School. Nancy continued her education at Portland State University, where she met first husband Merle Cressy and had two children by him; Troy and Robin.
Nancy worked as an Administration Assistant for General Foods for 25 years. She loved her work and it was there where she met her second husband, Cal Simmons. Nancy went on to work at Azumano Travel Agency where she took advantage of travel perks, including trips to China, Australia and much of Europe. She enjoyed skiing, traveling, shopping, the dog races at Multnomah Greyhound Park and shared a great passion for her Portland Trail Blazers. Nancy loved entering contests and in 2003 was the winner of the theme for the Portland Rose Festival; Fun, Fantasy and Fanfare.
Nancy is survived by her Sisters, Dorothy Kirscht and Betty Lou Debeau, First husband Merle Cressy, Children, Troy and Robin Cressy, and Grandchildren, Randi and Piper Humphries.
At her request, there will be no memorial service.
