Joseph Neville Obituary

Joseph Allen Neville, 43, passed away on April 10, 2026, in Beaverton, Oregon after a battle with cancer. He was a man of quiet strength and deep devotion — stoic and steadfast, yet tenderly resolute in his love for those around him.

Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1983, Joe grew up with a passion for sports, playing football during his years at Parchment High School, where he graduated in 2002. In his later years, he found great joy cheering on the Portland Timbers, Seattle Seahawks, and Toronto Blue Jays.

Joe began his working life as a welder before discovering his true calling behind the wheel. In 2011, he transitioned to truck driving — a career that matched his adventurous spirit and love of the open road. His travels took him far beyond the highways of the Pacific Northwest, including working in Saudi Arabia and vacationing in Germany. He ultimately put down roots in Oregon. He embraced every mile.

He was passionate about nature and committed to its preservation, values that reflected the care and intentionality he brought to everything he loved.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie Neville, and his loyal dog, Roy; his siblings Michael Neville and his wife Jessica and their children Hunter Renema, Avery Neville, and Casey Neville; Matthew Neville and his wife Nicole and their daughter Mallory Neville; and Kristin Neville and her husband Christopher Speikers as well as his uncle Robert Neville. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Terry Neville, and his mother, Linda Pride. He is deeply missed and will not be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that those wishing to honor Joe's memory consider a donation to the Arbor Day Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital — causes that reflect the man he was.

A celebration of life will be held in April in Oregon, with a second service to follow in May in Michigan. Additional details will be announced as they become available.
