Janice Akamian

JANICE AKAMIAN passed away in Beaverton, Oregon on November 23 after a lengthy set of illnesses.  She had just celebrated her 90th birthday.

Janice Orgill was a native of Draper, Utah who moved to San Francisco in the early 1950s. She worked as an office administrator and volunteered in San Francisco schools.  Her marriage to Andrew Akamian lasted over 40 years until his passing in 1996.

Janice moved to the Portland area in 2004 to be near her son, Robert and his family.  She found a new school district to volunteer in and made a whole new set of friends from teachers and staff.

She is survived by son ROBERT AKAMIAN, daughter-in-law CAROL and granddaughters ELAINE and EMILY.

There will be no service.  Remembrances to The Foundation for Tigard-Tualatin Schools.
