Irene Ellicott

Irene grew up in Portland and earned a Master's Degree here. She ran several successful businesses and was a successful investor.

With her second husband of 40 years, Harold, she enjoyed the company of numerous friends, golf, travel, skiing and fine dining.

She is survived by one son.

A small, informal memorial gathering is being planned.

The family suggest supporting Portland's outstanding and only In-Patient Hospice Facility, the Hopewell House, which, after almost 32 years, is scheduled to close its doors September 30, 2019 , unless a way can be found to save it.
