George Gallion, Jr Obituary

George Gallion, Jr.

July 25, 1968 - May 4, 2018

George Gallion, Jr. died in his home in Portland, Oregon on May 4, 2018. His battle with cancer was short as he was diagnosed only 46 days earlier.

George was born on July 25, 1968 in Long Beach, California. He grew up with many close friends and was a wild teenager who would often cause trouble. After falling in love with his high school sweetheart, Carrie, he married her and had three amazing children; Kaila 18, Josie 15, and Michael 14. He was a great father and husband, who loved his family immensely, and always put them first.

When George wasn't with his family, he was hard at work as a delivery driver. During his 28 years at UPS, George built strong relationships with his co-workers and his customers. His sense of family, sense of humor, and fun demeanor left a lasting impression on those who were lucky enough to know him.

George had a gift of connecting with people and built a strong community of family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. The impact he had on those around him will last forever.

We will be celebrating George's life on Saturday, July 1, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Tualatin Hills Nature Park at 15655 SW Millikan Way, Beaverton, OR 97006. His Celebration of Life will be open house style, so come and go as you can.
